Aliyu Anate

Software Engineer @ DLT Africa · Ambassador @ CrossFi

Aliyu is a Software Developer and Smart Contract Engineer with over five years of experience building real-world solutions across blockchain, fintech, and sustainability — specialising in Solidity, decentralised applications, and fullstack Web3 integrations with a focus on financial inclusion and real-world impact.

About Aliyu

Aliyu joined DLT Africa as an intern in October 2022 and has been a full Software Engineer there since January 2023 — over three years of hands-on blockchain and fintech engineering based in Ogun State, Nigeria. He builds scalable, user-centred products that deliver financial inclusion and measurable real-world impact.

Since February 2025 he has served as a Technical Ambassador at Cross Finance (CrossFi), educating developers on building with the protocol, promoting its partnerships, and raising awareness of dApps on the platform. He previously led CrossFi Africa's university outreach as University Lead (December 2024 – May 2025), growing the ecosystem across the continent.

Earlier, Aliyu served as Technical Lead for Lisk Africa (March – July 2024), where he played a pivotal role in building and nurturing the Lisk developer community. His work consistently bridges technical depth with community leadership — from writing smart contracts to growing the ecosystems that depend on them.

Focus Areas

  • Smart contract development — Solidity, DeFi, decentralised applications
  • Fullstack Web3 engineering — end-to-end blockchain-integrated products
  • CrossFi ecosystem — developer education, dApp promotion, protocol partnerships
  • Community & ecosystem growth — technical leadership across African blockchain networks

How Aliyu Works With You

  • Brings five-plus years of production blockchain experience — from DLT Africa internship through to senior Software Engineer, he has shipped real fintech and sustainability products, not just prototypes, giving him a clear-eyed view of what it takes to get Web3 systems to production.
  • Combines deep protocol knowledge with ecosystem range — his roles across DLT Africa, CrossFi, and Lisk Africa span engineering, developer advocacy, and community leadership, meaning he can contribute at the technical layer and the ecosystem layer simultaneously.
  • Focuses engineering on impact — his stated emphasis on financial inclusion and user-centred design means he thinks about who is using what he builds and why, not just whether the contract compiles.
