About Douglas
Douglas is the Founder of Terminal Velocity AI, an elite AI consultancy based in Pretoria, South Africa. With 30 years of IT experience and a deep 18-month focus on AI and LLM application in business, he brings a rare combination of research depth and production-grade engineering to every engagement.
His technical range spans DevOps infrastructure (Kubernetes, Ansible, Chef, Redis and MemcacheD clusters, Grafana, GCP, AWS, Docker), full-stack development (Python, PHP, JavaScript, Bash), algorithmic trading (Freqtrade, FreqAI, CTrader), and blockchain development. He has authored 200+ research articles on AI-driven engineering and built a tamper-resistant accounting system.
Douglas has led ICT and development teams across e-commerce, publishing, manufacturing, and services — and now applies that breadth to help SMEs and engineering teams adopt AI strategically, compliantly, and at speed.
