Liyabona is a software engineering student at WeThinkCode_ with a strong foundation in IT infrastructure and hands-on support experience — bringing practical problem-solving skills and a community-first mindset to everything she builds.
About Liyabona
Liyabona began her tech career as a First and Second Line Support Technician, spending nearly two years diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving technical issues in fast-paced environments. At KSD Municipality she handled hardware and software maintenance, network installation, helpdesk ticketing, endpoint security (ESET Protect), and end-user support across departments.
She is currently studying Software Engineering at WeThinkCode_ (2024–2026), deepening her skills in coding, systems design, and collaborative project work. Alongside her studies she serves as Chairperson and Mental Health Coordinator on the Student Social Wellness Committee — a role that reflects her commitment to inclusive, healthy spaces in tech.
Her education also includes certifications from Elchees Software Solutions in Information Technology and a Higher Certificate in Information, giving her a broad grounding that spans hardware, infrastructure, and software fundamentals.
